Description
A long line of parents stand in front of Kentwood School in the Westchester district, waiting to enroll their children in kindergarten. They lined up at 2:30 p.m. yesterday and remained there all night. Today, many were turned away, disappointed, because the school could only admit 25 pupils. Photograph dated January 31, 1949.
