Description
Anthony Bourdain discusses his book, “A Cook’s Tour.” He begins by sharing that the book was an opportunity for him to fulfill his greatest desires and fantasies by eating his way around the world. He also briefly discusses his previous book “A Bone in the Throat.” Bourdain then explains how the idea for the book became the impetus for the television show “No Reservations” and the difficulties he encountered being surrounded by a distracting and intrusive film crew while trying to immerse himself in his experiences and write the book. He goes on to share stories from some of the places he traveled to including Portugal, France, and Vietnam. Later he goes on to discuss a meal he had at the restaurant The French Laundry and how it was one of the best restaurant meals he has ever had.
