Description
The notes accompanying this photo of a dwelling in the foothills state: "caption - commune This six-sided lodge house was the center of activities at the Family of Mystic Arts commune. In it communards prepared meals on an enormous wood-burning stove, had an extensive library, and slept during inclement weather. Today the place is a ghost - - windows broken, stove rusting, books moldering on the dirt floor."
