Description
Photograph caption dated May 20, 1988 reads, "A construction worker was trapped beneath this two-story apartment house on Beacon Avenue near Seventh Street yesterday when it slipped off the blocks propping it up during foundation repairs. The injured man, 53, was in stable condition and being X-rayed at California Medical Center. Firefighters from eight companies responded to remove the man and keep the tottering old building from slipping any further."
