Photograph shows River invasion-- Work on the Keswick Dam halted temporarily when the Sacramento River, swollen by heavy rains, invades the foundation area of the dam which is being built by the United States Bureau of Reclamation as an afterbay structure nine miles below Shasta Dam. After the river subsided, powerful pumps cleared the excavated area of water in a few hours and concrete placement was resumed. The view is looking upstream through the fish trap and spillway sections. ght
