Description
William J. Schwarz has enjoyed a nearly life-long personal and professional involvement with the work of Frank Lloyd Wright and that of various Wright protégés and colleagues. As an architect, Mr. Schwarz has been engaged almost continuously for over 45 years with almost all aspects of the phased construction of the Frank Lloyd Wright-designed Marin County Civic Center. Serving as Associated Architect of Taliesin Architects and Representative for the Frank Lloyd Wright Foundation and, for the past twenty-five years independently, he has participated on scores of projects for the Marin County Civic Center, including master planning, design and construction supervision of the various buildings, as well as additions, alterations, retrofits, and restorations. At present, he continues to provide professional services to the County of Marin as a consulting architect in connection with various projects at the Marin County Civic Center. []
