Photograph caption dated February 14, 1958 reads "Carl Stopeck, 54, toy distributor, of 118 S. Valley St., Burbank, waves his hand to try blocking picture as he is booked at Burbank jail on suspicion of conspiracy to violate state bookmaking laws. Police say he is leader of $1,500,000 a year horse betting syndicate. Booking officer checks Stopeck's cash." See images 00155951 through 00155956 for all photos in this series.
