Photograph caption dated June 6, 1960 reads "The Rev. John G. Simmons, left, president of San Fernando Valley Lutheran Hospital Association, and the Rev. Oswald Skov, association treasurer, go over plans for Children's Memorial Chapel at Pacoima Memorial Lutheran Hospital. Construction in circular chapel, which will seat 35, will begin in September. It will be used by church and community organizations supporting hospital."
