Description
Photograph of Olive Street construction views, looking north from Washington Street, December 4, 1930. Foreground features what appears to be a road foundation in the process of construction. At left, a trench can be seen, supported by wooden planks. At middle left, a long stack of wooden planks can be seen next to a large metal pipe and a stack of smaller, light colored pipes. Automobiles can be seen parked in the background. Two billboards can also be seen in the left portion of the background. Several buildings can be seen in the distance. Legible signs read: "Automotive equipment", "Chesterfield", "Richfield", "Coca Cola pure on sunlight", "For her Christmas, A modern gas range", and "Frank Wiggins trade school".
