Pictured in 1930 is a section of downtown Sacramento, including, most prominently, the twin Capitol Extension buildings, the State Capitol building and Capitol Park. In the upper-left section of the photograph is the Cathedral of the Blessed Sacrament at Eleventh and K streets. In the lower section of the photograph is the First Baptist Church at Ninth and M streets. L Street runs diagonally from the lower left-hand corner to the upper right-hand portion of the photograph.
