Description
Detailed, elevated view of Dresken and the Elbe River. This colorized photograph reveals tree lined streets with horse and carriages and what appear to be trolley tracks; historic buildings such as the Schlossturm, Ständehaus, the opera house and the Catholic Cathedral (now known as Trinity Cathedral). Along the waterway are extensive bridges, barges and other vessels. Unused, "autochrome" printing process, with divided back. Described as a view card, based on realistic image of a specific location.
