Description: San Francisco Fire Department's fireboat Dennis T. Sullivan on Sacramento Riverfront demonstrating its capabilities. The fireboat travelled up the Sacramento River to persuade legislators to appropriate $50,000 to the City of San Francisco to pay for fire protection of state buildings in the city. Onboard were Governor Hiram Johnson, Mayor M.R. Beard, legislators,and other dignitaries. Oversize print available.
