Description
"The arrival of our latest twins - Elisha and Bethsheba. Elaine, some of children, and I coming out to meet the father and brother carrying the babies to give away (34 miles trip)." American Missionaries from Churches of Christ to Zambia receive children to care for at the Kalomo Mission Orphanage. John Sherriff and W. N. Short, American missionaries from Churches of Christ, began the mission in 1922. Orville Brittell joined them in 1939 and married Augusta Scott, daughter of George and O. R. Scott who were also missionaries from Churches of Christ who worked at the mission station.
