Photograph article date stamped November 2, 1962 partially reads, "San Fernando Raceway officials plan to have Roger Ward's Indianapolis 500 winning race car on display from noon until 1 p.m. Sunday afternoon. The $25,000 machine enabled Ward to set an average speed record of 140.292 MPH in the 1962 Memorial Day classic. It is rated at 400 horsepower at 6,000 RPM with a compression ratio of 16 to 1 and an engine displacement of 225 cubic inches. The racer has a 50 gallon fuel tank with a 95-inch wheel base and a total dry weight of 1550 lbs." Photograph caption reads, "Roger Ward's Indianapolis 500 winning racer will be seen Sunday - The machine will be displayed at San Fernando Raceway from noon to 1 p.m."
