Description
Architectural drawing of a proposed bridge to cross Westlake Park. This plan, by architects Anson Boyd and Lincoln Rogers, featured arches providing access for small boats. Several ideas were proposed to extend Wilshire over the lake, including a suspension bridge, concrete bridge and a dirt-filled roadway. Ultimately the roadway idea won and the extension was completed in 1934. Photo dated: July 10, 1931.
