Description
Photograph of people posing in front of the Warner Brothers Theater in Hollywood before 1937 for the opening of the movie, "Taxi," starring James Cagney and Loretta Young. Tex Pedigo and cab drivers stand on and near an air-cooled Franklin automobile. A banner on the side of the automobile reads, "Starts today at Warner Bros. Theatre in Hollywood Only. 'He will drive your cares away'. James Cagney. Taxi. Loretta Young". A group of men wearing the same clothing of suits, bowties, and caps can be seen at right with ribbons pinned to their jackets. Signs on the building behind the group of people read, "James Caugney in 'Taxi' with L[...] Fastest Laugh & Tear Rio[...]". An ornate ticket booth underneath the signs reads, "All seats 35 cents[...]". Another sign propped up on the sidewalk reads, "The Trophy[...]". A motorcycle can be seen in the right foreground.
