Photograph of a birdseye view of the Rainbow Pier in Long Beach, ca.1935. The pier is at left and surrounds a the Municipal Auditorium, which is built on a small peninsula that juts into the water at left. A roller coaster can be seen in the distance at left. At center and right, the tall buildings of the city are visible. There are many of them, including one tall building with a conical tower on top. A low, gently sloping mountain can be seen in the distance at left, while the beach is visible in the foreground at right.
