Image of an advertisement and circular for Brewster, Lawrence, and Company carriage makers containing fifteen side views of numbered carriages followed by a panel of printed text providing the names and prices of the depicted carriages with a circular written in English, French, Spanish, and Portuguese and signed by Aaron H. Palmer, director of the American and Foreign Agency, regarding orders for Brewster, Lawrence & Co. and twenty-one listed New York City manufacturers of various household and industrial items.
Probable date based on date in item text; the company and director are included in the "Artist/Author" fields as authors of the circular. "Litho. of Endicott & Swett, 111, Nassau St."--text, upper center of image below title. "The above constitute but a small part of the variety of Carriages made by the subscribers, and will admit of many variations to suit the views of purchasers ... All orders addressed to Aaron H. Palmer, Director of the American and Foreign Agency, New-York, our authorised Agent, will receive prompt attention. [space] Brewster, Lawrence & Co."--portion of item text, lower center. "Circular. / Office of American and Foreign Agency. / New-York, January 1, 1833. / The undersigned, Director of this agency, will promptly execute all orders ...
