Description
Looking up Throckmorton Avenue in early 1929, one can see the construction of the Sequoia Theatre, which is almost completed. The smaller building to the right of the theater is Suey Kee Market. The building beyond the theatre (General Tire sign) was a Studebaker Auto dealer and in 1977 was the site of the Bennet's Variety Store. The barn (behind the pole) was O'Shaughnessy Stables. The Purity Store (Meats and Fruits sign) was later the Mill Valley Furniture Store. The PG&E office on the left side of the street was later part of the Mill Valley Market.
