Description
Camp Fire Girls Native American inspired, brown cotton ceremonial gown with a blue wool felt vest. A: Dress has v-neck with hook & eye fastener, suede fringe at the hemline and under the arms. A large gold, green, pink, red, and blue felt applique stitched into front of gown. A strip of suede below shows a pen-written aphorism regarding doing good for others. Patches for water are sewn above the hem. On the back are several more patches including handmade commemorations of "Alum Rock" in 1964, 1965, 1966, 1967, 1968. B: Vest has wood honor beads sewn on in floral designs. A "Blue Bird Fly-up" emblem is stitched on the left front shoulder. A large pink, light blue, and purple felt design is appliqued to the back. Label: "70% Wool 30% Rayon."
