Tri-fold marketing brochure describes the history and wine making process at Foppiano Vineyards. Founded in 1896 by Giovanni Foppiano, Foppiano Vineyards is one of Sonoma County's oldest continually-operated, family-owned wineries. The Foppiano family survived Prohibition in the 1920s by selling home winemaking kits. Foppiano moved from producing primarily jug wines to higher quality bottled wines in the 1970s under the direction of Louis Foppiano, Sr..Rod A. Foppiano and Louis M. Foppiano are grandsons of winery founder, Louis J. Foppiano. After Rod died in 1984, Louis took over wine making and vineyard management. GNIS 15 Title from cover.
