Description
California Assembly Speaker, Fabian Nun~ez (born December 27, 1966), addressing a crowd at Pershing Square during a rally. He stands at a podium, with a yellow banner hanging from it, which reads, "California's dreams are at stake. Vote NO on Nov. 8". A huge orange banner with the words "Vote" hangs in the background, and a man and several children stand below it. Nun~ez was elected to the California State Assembly to represent the 46th District in 2002 and sworn in as the State's 66th Speaker on February 9, 2004. Pershing Square takes up the entire block and is bounded by 5th Street to the north, 6th Street to the south, Hill Street to the east, and Olive Street to the west. Photo dated: October 27, 2005.
