Autograph letter, signed, describing French naval operations off the eastern seaboard. The letter is dated "le 14 X.bre 1780" and is addressed to Ternay at the bottom of the first page. The letter contains references to Boston, Chesapeake Bay, Baltimore, Bermuda, the "Cte. de Rochambeau" and General Washington. The letter is signed by La Luzerne on the third page. Six lines of postscript are written on the third and fourth pages, below La Luzerne's signature. Title supplied by cataloger.
