A wide variety of men, women, and children are visible gathering berries among rows and rows of plants. Almost all of the workers are looking towards the viewer, and most are wearing broad-brimmed hats. There are stacks of wooden crates in the foreground full of berries, and all of the workers are holding smaller wooden boxes. In the background, there are many trees, as well as two large stacks of wooden boxes.
