Description
Photograph caption dated March 23, 1957 reads, "Clearing bar at 6 feet 2 inches with ease, North Hollywood ace high jumper Rudd Schoeffel stopped at this mark without attempting to go higher due to injured leg. Schoeffel topped Gordon Bunting, Reseda, his top rival, who cleared 6 feet but missed 6 feet 2 inches. Schoeffel was upset in the broad jump by Reseda's John Brummett, but came back to tie for first in the 180 high hurdles with Al Baker of Reseda."
