Description
Negative shows a group of teenage girls lined up along the wall of a stone bridge in Alum Rock Park. Three of the girls have placed a leg over the side of the bridge. This is possibly a picture of members of the YWCA's Contenta Hora group. Contenta Hora was a YWCA club for Latinas. At the start of the Depression, the association had one club for business girls. By 1938, it sponsored seven clubs and a business league, with a total membership of 421. Latinas met, briefly, as Contenta Hora.
