Description
"Temple of the God of the North Star outside the WMA Compound wall. Ladies house shewing our big gate with Marjorie Maxwell, her nurse and nurse's son going to ring. Mrs Maxwell is signing for a registered letter just handed her by the postman, and does not know she is being snapshotted." The Women's Missionary Association was part of the English Presbyterian Mission. Mrs Maxwell was the wife of the Mission Dr at Yongchun, Dr Preston Maxwell.
