Description: Caption from October 5, 1961 Sacramento Bee reads, "RELIC-- Silent and motionless, the 1903 Anderson, Shasta County, fire bell hangs in a bright new housing on display at the main office of the Shasta District Fair. John McFarland, Anderson fireman, and Jow Speers, secretary manager of the fair, inspect the bell."
