Photograph of the Los Angeles Soap Company personnel and company owners John A. Forthmann Senior, J.J. Bergin, and Leo P. Bergin on July 29, 1898. A large group of men and several young boys and teenage boys can be seen sitting and standing outside of the Los Angeles Soap Company Building office. A note on the back of the photograph reads: "Standing in doorway holding hat in right hand -- John A. Forthmann, Sr., and to his left J.J. Bergin. Far right with black hat, watch chain and hands in both pockets is Leo P. Bergin". Two tall stacks of soap boxes can be seen at far left. A sign above the men, on top of the building, reads as follows: "Office".
