Photograph caption dated July 17, 1956 reads "Johnny Moore, standing, veteran scout for the Milwaukee Braves, is shown as he signed Ken Hazelwood, 20-year-old Burbank shortstop, to a contract. A former Burbank High School star in baseball and basketball, Hazelwood will join Salinas for the remainder of the 1956 season, just one of the many Valley stars who recently have signed pro contracts."
