UG634.5.R62 PHOTO ALBUM: ** UG634.5.R62 W67 1918 Photos were apparently taken by members of Aerial Photo Section No. 51 of the Army Air Corps. Album contains photo of a letter ordering the section to Garden City, N.Y. at the end of Nov. 1918. Most photos in album from 1918. Previously catalogued in card file as "Photo Album Number 28." Thirty-eight scanned representative views of one hundred sixty-nine views (many aerial) of San Diego (several of Balboa Park) and surrounding coast, mountains and valleys; aerial and ground views of Rockwell Field, troops, biplanes on ground and in flight (some photos of airborne planes were taken from airborne planes); photos of crashed planes; group photos of troops and individual portraits of comrades and friends. Negative, nos. 25,294-25,301 (4 x 5 in.) for eight images in the album, noted next to the individual photo in the album.
