Photograph caption dated August 10, 1962 reads, "Jockey Bill Harmatz is shown working Doc Jocoy in preparation for the La Jolla Mile to be run Saturday at the Del Mar Turf Club. Doc Jocoy, the probable favorite in the $15,000 added stakes event, will be trying to repeat his earlier victory in the Oceanside Handicap for owner and trainer L. C. Sternberger."
