Photograph caption dated November 15, 1988 reads, "Driver who plunged over cliff is hauled up by rescue team. David Kenstad, with eyes closed, suffered a broken elbow and cuts when car skidded off rain-slicked mountain road above La Can~ada. Storm also caused several deaths."
