Kenjinkai Publications is part of "Japanese American Community Publications" and a collection of booklets published by Japanese prefectural associations, that is, "Kenjinkais," in Southern California. Kenjinkais have compiled commemorative publications to celebrate their major anniversary milestones, documenting history of immigration from prefectures, biographies of prominent figures, activities of fujinkais (women's clubs) which were auxiliary groups to their prefectural associations, and international exchange programs that provide the American-born youth with scholarship to learn their ancestors’ original county, Japan. Also included are historical images and advertisements of Japanese and Japanese American businesses in Southern California. The publications are distributed among the members only.
