Description: Shown are three color murals drawn by winners of the art competition held at Vernon Elementary School. From left to right: mural by 1997 winner, Alberto Carlos; "Mother Earth" drawn by 1998 winner, Jenny Aguirre; and "Beautiful Ocean" drawn by 6th grader and 1999 winner, Juan Tostado. The murals decorate a wall which covers the front portion of an energy plant owned by Sunlaw Cogeneration Partners I, located at 2045 East Vernon Avenue.
