Five members of the Junta for National Reconstruction stand in line at a mass held at Plaza 19 de Julio during Pope John Paul II's visit to Nicaragua in March 1983. They are all in olive-green military uniform. The man on the far left is Humberto Ortega, Minister of Defense and brother of Daniel Ortega who became leader of Nicaragua first as Coordinator of the Junta of National Liberation from 1979-1985 and then as president from 1985-1990. Daniel Ortega is currently president of Nicaragua again and has been since 2007. To the far right is Luis Carrión. Behind them there is a line of unidentified members of the clergy sitting on the stage. Cinco miembros de la Junta de Gobierno de Reconstrucción Nacional están de pie durante la misa en la Plaza 19 de Julio ofrecida en honor a la visita del papa Juan Pablo II durante su visita a Nicaragua en marzo de 1983. Todos ellos portan un uniforme militar de color verde olivo.
