Description
From Monrovia, the Tsuneishis were sent to Heart Mountain, Wyoming. Mother Sho (left) is with a 4 Blue Stars Flag for her four sons serving World War 2. On right is Shima Yamagauchi Takata, probably from Hawaii. Tsuneishi sisters, Florence and Frances, also served as civilians for Allied Translator and Interpreter Section (ATIS). Satoru, their father, was actually a pacifist and supported the Fair Play Committee draft resisters. After camp, the Tsuneishis having lost their land in Monrovia, settled in a small home in East Los Angeles
