Description
Construction of the Hooker telescope building, Mount Wilson Observatory. The concrete exterior of the base is enclosed with steel framing. Wooden scaffolding can be seen on the exterior of the steel framing near the right-hand side. The dome is not yet in place, but the interior curved girders are visible. A portion of a pine tree is visible to the far left; shrubs are in the foreground.
