Description
Typed caption on reverse: "Post St. looking east from Market St. The small alley coming into Post from the north (left in the photo) where the pawn shop is was Lightston St. (the street that the first fire station was on). Summer 1962. All these buildings are history." Pedestrians crossing the street towards a surface parking lot (30 cents/hour) with billboard advertising 76 Union chemical tune-up, and Hoffman's Menswear on the left corner. Neon sign for the Rex Club on the left ("Rex Card Club Lo-ball" painted on the building); Ace Loan Office, Curts, Rusty's Cafe also visible. A large advertisement for La Perla Market is painted on building above billboard.
