Description
Photograph of factory workers making tires in a Samson Tire and Rubber Corporation plant, Compton, [s.d.]. Multiple men can be seen at left shaping rubber on machines. They work side-by-side, are separated by partitions, and continue into the background. Tires with writing on them can be seen on a conveyor belt down the center. More men are visible at right applying machines to partially-completed tires. Lights hang from the ceiling, while windows can be seen at left and on the back wall. Transparency reads: "Adjustments on Samson tires are seldom necessary because of the efficiency of these workmen. This latest addition to the Samson plant increased the tire output 500 tires a day".
