Photograph caption dated November 4, 1964 reads, "Woodland Hills Junior Woman's Club will sponsor a 'Jewel Ball' at 9 p.m. Saturday in St. Mel's Social Hall, 20870 Ventura Blvd., Woodland Hills. Making decorations for the event are, from left, Mmes. Fred Blaich, Thomas Ludowitz and Ronald Parkinson. Others assisting Mrs. Robert Harper, ways and means chairman, are Mmes. Bobby Smith, James Bradley and Charles Monteleone. Music for dancing will be provided by Sam Thompson and his band. Mrs. Carl Swanson is club president."
