Description
Image of George Washington on horseback entering the city of Trenton, New Jersey, on a visit commemorative of his defense of the area in December of 1776 during the Revolutionary War; Washington rides under an arch of greenery with a banner, "The Defender of the Mothers the Protector of the Daughters Dec. 26 1776," among a group of veterans, women and young girls who cheer and offer bouquets of flowers as he passes; other soldiers follow Washington on horseback carrying swords and American flags.
