Description
Lisa Tucker discusses her novel, “The Song Reader.” She begins by explaining that the book is about a psychoanalyst who helps people by asking them what songs they love. She describes the journey of two sisters who try to find their father who abandoned them when they were young. Tucker says that psychoanalysts can make mistakes in their diagnoses, and talks about the consequences everyone must face as a result of this. She discusses how she wrote her first novel after being in graduate school for English. She ends the interview by saying that she was a singer in her husband’s band.
