Description
View of the U.C.L.A. Westwood campus, at the time of its opening in 1929. View is looking southeast from the golf course of the Bel Air Country Club. View 11: shows several U.C.L.A. campus buildings. The twin towers of Royce Hall may be seen in the middle of this photo. Building was built in 1928-29 and designed by Allison and Allison, Architects. Powell Library is on the right. This building was built in 1927-29 and designed by architect George W. Kelham. Both buildings were constructed in a northern Italian Romanesque Revival style.
