On January 1, 1979, the name of the Hollywood-Burbank Airport was changed to the Burbank-Glendale-Pasadena Airport. Consequently, the Burbank-Glendale-Pasadena Airport became the Bob Hope Airport, in honor of the late comedian Bob Hope, on November 4th, 2013.; NBC Productions, initially established by RCA in 1947, was renamed NBC Studios in 1996. Photograph caption dated March 26, 1955 reads, "Examining replica of NBC's Color City studios in Burbank shortly after it arrived on Slick Airways plane are, from left, Gordon N. Bain, Slick's vice president, and John K. West, vice president of NBC's Western network. Model will be on display at official dedication of studio tomorrow."
