Title
Redwood tree in center of picture struck by lightning about 1900 or 1905. Diameter about 12 feet breast high. Top is broken off. Split extends from top to near base; at some points split is open to opposite side. Photo is of south side. Tree stands on West edge of Redwood Highway, south of Bolling Grove and opposite P.T. & T. [Pacific Telephone and Telegraph] Company pole #341. E.F. July 13, 1932
