Photograph caption dated February 9, 1954 reads, "Valley playground preview - Ken Cooper, right, the director of Studio City's new municipal playground, at Moorpark and Beeman streets, greets two of his 'customers,' who get a preview of dedication program set for Thursday. The youngsters are Darr and Dana Hawthorne, sons of radio and TV comedian Hawthorne, who is honorary mayor of Studio City. Hizzoner, shown here with his children, will participate in the dedication program."
