Photograph caption dated September 12, 1935 reads, ""Alvin Hudson, one of the persons hurt in the spectacular three-car crash in which two women lost their lives, is shown on the stand at the inquest today when he told how the car of Busby Berkeley struck his car."" Berkeley was on trial for manslaughter after he was involved in a car crash where two women, Ada von Briesen and Peggy Daley, died in September 1935. Two trials resulted in hung juries, and he was acquitted after a third trial.
