Description
Several clips of the opening ceremony of Pit 91 on June 13, 1969, known as “Asphalt Friday.” Speakers address audience from a podium on the grassy lawn next to the fenced-off pit. Crowd along fence watches activity in the pit. Local officials pose with shovels.
