Description
View of Mill Valley in the 1940s. Highway 101 is in the foreground with Alto subdivision homes on far side. Almost in the center is the white stucco home of Mrs. Hedge of Shell Road. Mr. Hedge had appliance store, hot water heaters, etc. down near Jack in the Box. Lomita DR. ran from the highway past ranch to trailer court where all the white "things" are. Homes on Tower, Meadow, Plaza were built just after WWII. Corte Madera Grade visible, homes on far side. Almost in the center is the white stucco home of Mrs. Hedge of Shell Road.
